In the true spirit of generosity and community service, Ideal Motors staff came together to organize a series of Dansalas in celebration of Vesak Poya and Poson Poya — two of the most sacred Buddhist festivals in Sri Lanka. Demonstrating the company’s core values of compassion, unity, and social responsibility, the events were held across multiple Ideal Motors locations, drawing participation from both the public and the entire Ideal Group family.
On May 13, to commemorate Vesak Poya, the staff at Ideal Motors Union Place Head Office hosted an Ice Cream Dansala in front of the head office premises. The event brought smiles and a refreshing treat to many passers-by and employees, reflecting the spirit of kindness and unity that Vesak represents.
Continuing the gesture, on June 9, the Yakkala Ideal Motors team held another Ice Cream Dansala outside the Yakkala showroom, spreading joy within the local community and further strengthening the bond between Ideal Motors and the people it serves.
The culmination of these events took place at the Ideal Motors Central Workshop in Ratmalana, where a Seeni Sambol Bun Dansala was organized in celebration of Poson Poya. Staff members came together to prepare and distribute the delicious buns, traditionally known for their comforting flavor and cultural significance during Poson festivities.
These efforts were not just organized but wholeheartedly supported by the leadership of Ideal Group. Founder and Chairman Mr. Nalin Welgama, Managing Director Ms. Dilani Yatawaka, and Director Ms. Nimisha Welgama joined hands with employees, sharing in the spirit of giving and actively participating in the events. The Mahindra & Mahindra Lanka team also extended their support, marking the events as a unified initiative across all levels of the organization.
